Together We Can Tackle What's Holding You Back

Managing life can feel like an uphill battle when you’re dealing with painful thoughts and feelings, or difficult life events — and even harder when it feels like you’re facing them alone. Life stressors and ongoing emotional pain can negatively impact our quality of life, relationships, or physical and mental wellbeing.

Your interest in participating in therapy is such an important first step in helping yourself, and I recognize the courage it takes to reach out and ask for support. I will offer a safe, collaborative therapeutic space, free of judgment, where we can explore and gain insight into your unique experiences. I strive for you to feel heard, understood, and valued.

Together, we will understand your hopes and goals for therapy. We will work towards creating tools to help you feel more hopeful, compassionate with yourself, and confident in how to access your own inner-resources to work through the difficulties you are facing, and experience the change or personal growth you seek.

About Aimee Summers, LCSW

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker offering HIPAA-compliant virtual therapy to residents of Florida, Illinois, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. Since earning my Master of Social Work from NYU in 2004, I’ve supported clients through a personalized, compassionate approach that honors the complexity of the whole person. My work is grounded in Psychodynamic theory, but Internal Family Systems (IFS) plays a central role in how I help clients explore and heal the parts within them that carry pain, protect, or feel stuck. I also integrate elements of Attachment-Based Therapy, Somatic, and Solution-Focused strategies to meet each person where they are. My practice is client-centered and strength-based, creating a space where meaningful change can happen at your own pace.
